Mr. Woolf earned his law degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 1977 (with honors) and was admitted to the Connecticut bar in the same year. He is also an active bar member in the State of Florida (1978), the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (2000), the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut (1978), the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York (1995), and the United States Supreme Court (2004). Attorney Woolf was appointed Commissioner of the Connecticut Department of Banking and Securities by Governor William A. O'Neil and served as Commissioner from 1980-1985.
His active legal memberships include the Connecticut Bar Association's Executive Committee on Criminal Justice, and Chairman of the Connecticut Criminal Defense Lawyer's Association, Liaison Committee with the Connecticut Department of Correction.. Attorney Woolf also holds a Diploma from the National Institute of Trial Advocacy (2004).
